Research

My research is centred around artificial intelligence (AI), primarily automated planning, knowledge representation and reasoning, and cognitive robotics, although I am interested in many areas of AI research. My research overview page has more information on my research interests and groups. You can also find my recent projects, publications, talks, and research-related events I have organised. A list of the PhD students I have supervised is also available.

Teaching

I am currently a Director of the UKRI AI Centre for Doctoral Training in Dependable and Deplyable AI for Robotics (CDT-D2AIR) and the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Robotics and Autonomous Systems (CDT-RAS). I regularly teach courses in Computer Science at Heriot-Watt University's Edinburgh Campus, usually at the Year 3, MSc, or PhD level. I also supervise student projects at all levels. More information about my teaching activities can be found on my teaching page.
